This White Paper outlines a set of recommendations of future goals to strive toward to ensure the field of science communication remains relevant, impactful, and inclusive in a global context, thus improving the fragile relationship between science and society. To achieve these recommendations, science communicators must receive sustained support from funding bodies and policy makers.
The contents of this White Paper are evidence based, composed from a combination of literature and field research. Values and recommendations were presented to GlobalSCAPE stakeholders through five co-creation sessions, and feedback received from these sessions were utilised to edit and refine this White Paper to ensure reflection of the thoughts of the wider science communication community.
This White Paper will be treated as a living document to ensure the inclusion of voices possibly missed in the co-creation sessions, providing a more global perspective to policy makers.
